My name is Luis Matos Cunha and I’m the clinical director and head of the Dental Medicine Department at Clínica da Face, situated in Lisbon and with over
40 years of existence. I’m a licensed dentist having studied at the Faculty of Dental Medicine of the University of Lisbon.

To get know me better and before writing about my post-graduate journey: post-grad courses, conferences, papers, articles, etc., it is worth going back, to the year 2004.

In the summer of 2004, while still a university student,
I had the opportunity to witness for the first time, and to meet, Dr. Matos da Fonseca. After that day Dr. Matos, as I dearly call him, invited me to observe his work,
a routine I have maintained until today. The first months were dedicated to observing consultations and surgeries during my free periods between classes or other faculty-related obligations. Those were
3 incredible years between my faculty and
Clínica da Face.
